Biscuits

Ingredients:
* 3cups All Purpose Flour
* 3tbsps Granulated Sugar
* 1/2tsp Salt
* 4tsps Baking Powder
* 1/2tsps Cream of Tartar
* 3/4cup Cold Butter, cut into small cubes
Note: Keep the butter in the fridge until ready to incorporate into flour
* 1 Egg
* 1cup Milk
For brushing over the Biscuits: 2-3tbsp Unsalted, melted butter

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450degrees.

2. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cream of tartar and salt in a bowl, and mix to combine.

3. To the dry ingredients add the cubed butter 2 cubes at a time, and using a pastry cutter, cut in the butter until just combined. You do not have to combine the butter fully, and pieces of butter mixed with the flour is what you need (pea size butter flour chunks).

4. Add in the milk and egg and mix until just combined. The dough will be sticky, but dont over mix it. Turn the dough onto a floured surface. Knead it up to a maximum of 10 times only. Do not overwork the dough, or the butter will melt before the dough goes into the oven.

5. Press the dough into a flat disk with some thickness (three quarter inch) to it.

6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and grease the parchment paper. Using a biscuit cutter, cut rounds out of the dough, and place each round on the baking sheet. You should have up to 12 biscuits, depending on the size of your biscuit cutter.

7. Brush the top of each biscuit round with the melted butter.

8. Bake at 450degrees for 10-12 minutes. The tops will get golden brown as they bake. Remove from oven and leave on a wire rack to cool slightly. Serve warm.
