Cinnamon Donut Holes
Ingredients:
* 1 + 1/4cups All Purpose Flour
* 2tsps Baking Powder
* 1/4tsp Salt
* 1/2cup Buttermilk
* 1/4cup Granulated Sugar
* 3tbsp Unsalted Butter, melted and semi-cooled
* 4cups Oil for frying
* Cinnamon Sugar for Coating
Directions:
1. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a bowl. Whisk with a hand whisk to combine.
2. Combine the buttermilk with the semi cooled butter, and add to the dry ingredients. Mix using a fork until just combined. Use your hand to form into a ball. Do not Knead the dough.
3. Heat oil to 350degrees. Check oil by dropping a tiny piece of dough in to see if it frys (does not drop to the bottom of the pan).
4. Line a plate with papertowels to soak up oil.
5. Add a 1/4cup of the cinnamon sugar to a bowl.
6. Make small donut shaped balls (dough expands in the oil so make sure the balls are small in size), and add a few (3-5) into the oil, and fry, until golden brown. Using a slotted spoon, take the donuts out of the oil when they are ready and place on paper towel to soak up oil.
Continue with the next batch of donuts.
7. Add two donuts at a time into the bowl with the cinnamon sugar, and toss more cinnamon sugar over them as you toss to coat.
8. Best served immediately. Can be stored for up to two days in an air tight container.
