Lime Juice
Lime juice is one my favorite warm weather drinks and the lesser known of the citrus drinks. Step aside Orange Juice and Lemon Juice!
Ingredients:
* 6-8 Limes
* 4-6tbsp Granulated Sugar
* 1+ 1/2tsp Salt
* 4-6cups of water (ice cold), or more
* Lime wedges or lime slices to garnish the drink with
* Mint Leaves to garnish each glass
Directions:
1. Squeeze the limes into the pitcher. Add the water (start with just 4 cups) and salt and sugar (add only 4-5tbsps of sugar first). Mix will with a spoon. Taste, then add the rest of the water and sugar to your taste.
Note: You may like it sweeter or less sweeter, let your taste buds tell you the quantity of sugar you need to add.
Note: The salt is essential as it brings out the flavor of the lime and sugar.
2. Once mixed well, leave the pitcher of lime juice in the refrigerator to chill for an hour. Pour into a glass adding some lime wedges and a Mint leaf or two. Serve!
