Apple Turnovers

Prep time: 20 minutes
Bake time: 22-24 minutes

Ingredients:
* 2 Rolls of pre-made Puff Pastry
* 3- 1/2 Apples, cored, peeled and diced
* 1tbsp All Purpose Flour
* 1tbsp Unsalted Butter
* 1/4cup Brown Sugar
* 1/2tsp Cinnamon powder
* 1/8tsp Salt
* 1 Egg
* 1/2cup Confectioners Sugar
* 1-2tbsp Whipping Cream

Directions:
1. Thaw the puff pastry as directed on the package. As the puff pastry is thawing, cut, peel and core 3 1/2 apples - dice them into small square pieces.

2. Using a skillet or frying pan, melt the butter on medium heat, and add in the diced apples. Cook on medium heat for 4-5 minutes coating well with the butter. As the apples start to soften, add in the brown sugar, salt and cinnamon powder. Mix well to coat and cook until apples are cooked and well coated. Take it off the heat and leave to cool.

3. Sprinkle some flour on a counter, and spread out the rolls of puff pastry. Using a pizza cutter, cut each roll into 4 equal squares. Add a little of the apple mixture onto each of the squares on one side, ensuring you leave a margin so as to press the pastry together.

4. Pre heat oven to 400 degrees. Beat the egg and water together in a bowl, and using a pastry brush, brush some egg on the edges of the pastry. Fold the pastry into triangles. Using a fork press the edges of the pastry together.

5. Place the triangles on a baking sheet (greased with cooking spray). Leave a space between triangles, leaving enough room for the pastry to cook.

6. Brush the top of each triangle with the egg mixture. Make a cut (very small one) on each of the pastry triangles (in the middle). This lets steam escape, and ensures the pastry bakes crisply. Bake at 400 degrees for 22-23 minutes, or until golden brown.

7. When ready, take the apple turnovers out of the oven and leave on a wire rack to cool. As the pastry is cooling, make the drizzle.

8. To make the drizzle, combine the confectioners sugar and whipping cream together, gradually, until it reaches the desired consistency. Leave to cool and Enjoy!
